South Lake Tahoe Snow

Snow! Lake Tahoe

One of the most beautiful times in the mountains is the morning after a good snow fall.   I would have some better pictures up here if I had not forgot my memory card after hiking 2 miles through 2 feet of fresh powder!!!  I think I would have been more upset if I was not in the midst of such beauty.

I encourage you,  Next time it snows get out in the midst of it…don’t stay by the warm safe fire.

Trails.com is offering FREE access to topo maps. You are required to submit credit card information so make sure you cancel if you don’t want to be charged the next month. Unlimited access to topo maps. Try it free! We need some more snow!

Thailand Vacation!

Lonely Planet Thailand Guidebook

Bangkok Sunset

These temples are one of the best reasons to stay in Bangkok for a day or two.  You must fight the urge to run out of the generally dirty and ugly city, but it will be worth it.  Make sure you wear long pants and closed toed shoes.

Thailand is the easiest place to travel. I recomend it to everyone, not because its my favorite place, but because it has something for everyone. Thailand draws more visitors than any other country in southeast Asia with its irresistible combination of breathtaking natural beauty, inspiring temples, renowned hospitality, robust cuisine and ruins of fabulous ancient kingdoms. Few countries are so diverse.

The Lonely Planet Guidebooks are the only way to see the country properly on a lower budget. You will get a more realistic experience if you travel on a lower budget. Save the money for gifts.

Children in Laos

Children of Laos :)

The people of Laos are some of the most friendly relaxed group of people I have ever met. Its still one of the undiscovered gems in SE Asia. Go there before its ruined. I think this picture is especially funny because it reminds me that children are fundamentally the same, no matter where they grow up. The boys are fighting, and the girls hugging. Classic.

Laguna Beach Sunset

L@guna Beach, CA USA - Main Beach

Its rare to see Laguna Beach empty these days after all the reality TV show tourists started to show up. Its one of the most beautiful places in the OC, but the best beaches are not anywhere close to main beach.

Beijing Hutong

There are a billion people in China. It’s not easy to be an individual in a crowd of more than a billion people. Think of it. More than a BILLION people. That means even if you’re a one-in-a-million type of guy, there are still a thousand guys exactly like you.”

My Porter Nepal!

I love this picture most, not because its the best picture I have ever taken, but because it makes me feel like I am back on the trail 8 days into a 18 day trek. 18 days of living in the moment.
