PEOPLE who are capable of thinking about things on a deeper level than which they were presented.

PEOPLE who are able to converse in a manner that makes you rush home to dictionary.com the mental list of words you compiled whilst talking to said people.

PEOPLE who care about others more than themselves.

PEOPLE who desire change, and not complacency.

PEOPLE who strive for knowledge, and not wealth.

PEOPLE who are passionate about something.

PEOPLE who are passionate about anything.

PEOPLE who have never once uttered the words “my life sucks.”

PEOPLE who have been places, and seen things.

PEOPLE who recognize that the beauty of life lies within the small things.

All but one line was written by a monk, the other a Lawyer. Guess which line the lawyer wrote.

The Monks in Thailand are very friendly and are almost always interested in conversation. These two were waiting for the water taxi. I alway wonder what are they thinking? After talking to a few of them…I realized they think about the same stuff we all think about. These monks in Bangkok are very fortunate, they all get free sandals from the many tourists that pass through on their way to their hedonistic beach resorts. (Well not all of them).
